Stavros Halkias

Comedian Stavros Halkias made a YouTube series where he desperately tries to lose weight, with humorous results. His team asked me to produce animated segments for the show, drawing on choice moments and little stories from each episode.

We came up with this recurring character to symbolize the comedian's fondness for marijuana, and how the subsequent snacking always seems to derail his best efforts to lose weight. Even though it's a simple design, I went back and forth with the producers on how to make the weed character mischievous in just the right way.

The series also gave me a chance to practice illustration, in drawing and animating the different healthy meals that the comedian prepares each episode.
