Stavros Halkias

Stavvy Gets Ripped is a reality series on YouTube where comedian Stavros Halkies tries desperately to lose weight. His team asked me to produce animated segments to illustrate funny moments and stories from each episode.

I designed this recurring character to symbolize Halkias' smoking habit, and how it always derails his plans to lose weight. It's a simple design, but I went back and forth with feedback from the producers on the details. We really wanted to make the character look mischievous in just the right way.

The series also gave me a chance to practice illustration, in drawing the healthy meals that Halkias prepares each episode.
